our grandchildren

Sammy and Mason in their
clown garb at a local parade
today, near their home town...

one saturday this summer....

One Saturday morning, two of my favorite people strolled along. While I on the otherhand hustled to get ahead of them in order to capture the moment. Ah, success!

A quick stop to pose with the cactus!

Waiting outside the "Cup Cafe" in the lobby of Hotel Congress.....

Couldn't leave without a picture at the outside entrance.

On Saturday mornings when Joe is able, in otherwords, not working, the Cup Cafe has become one of our favorite places to leisurely have breakfast. The atmosphere captures Tucson ambience. Combined with a friendly staff, great food -including to-die-for desserts- YES, even at breakfast, we always leave there filled, both spirit and belly.

the dog wins!

Now this is what
I
would call

one spoiled dog.
He worked on
us
all day long

coming home from California
Finally,
Joe gave it to him.....

now,
that's a
good boy
Joe!!!

oh no jax, what are you thinking?

i came around the corner
from the kitchen, and to my surprise,
JAX was posed on my mother's
lovely hungarian embroidered piece....
if you think that she would have been thrilled to see this, think again! it is probably a good thing for JAX that she didn't see this, as he may have become AXED the dog of the past!!!

birthday cake, day 2

this is
the reason we have come to our senses,
ordering a 6 inch cake...the same amount
would most probably be missing.... guaranteed,
keep in mind there are only 3 of us.....
feel the love.......day 1 of the birthday coming soon!
i know the cake picture is a little fuzzy, but so am
i from all the chocolate. can you tell that i love
this heart picture? okay, okay, i will keep it fresh
and interesting from here on in. as in, i will only post
the heart picture on every other page vs 3x's on the
first page. that's a deal!!! now, that is my idea of a
perfect deal....one, that noone has a choice in, but me.

happy valentimes day
to all my loved ones.
(some of whom will know
where
my easel for this picture
with-a-heart comes from)...nothing like
old funeral home chairs
made new...

and yes i do know that valentines is spelled with an "n", just couldn't resist letting my tongue-in-cheek humor come out....ps. just so you know, as if you didn't, i love each and everyone of you, my family and friends alike with all my heart and soul...may this day be surrounded with love and laughter!

really my little pretty ones, this kid picked this tee shirt out all by himself. most controversial and worn often. so, when i went to our favorite local bakery

http://www.villagebakehouse.com/ to purchase an afterthought graduation cake all they had in the ready-to-go department was this white on white cake with pink decorations. it looked festive. i asked the graduate if it would be okay with him. he said yes, and the rest is history. when we got home, it only seemed natural to pull out the now famous pink tee and record the event.
joseph says that this shirt was given to him in his freshman year at mountain view highschool by a good friend. seems most appropriate that his highschool time is marked with a piece that was from the beginning.
it was halfway thru his sophomore year that, not only did he convince us that he would be a well suited candidate for online highschool, this smart young man also prepared all the paperwork to the point of us, his rents, only have to sign on the dotted line. he made saying no nearly impossible. we gave him 6 months to prove to us that he could do it. and although it was not perfect, realistically, what is? it seemed to work for him, and i liked being able to check his progress online, although that could be troublesome.
i have enclosed both pictures, just because!

doesn't he just have the sweetest smile you have ever seen?

PostScript; the second beginning at the end....

it looked easy from the outside, this blog posting business. could i have left my first post alone? yes.
did i? no. so, my feeling of accomplishment and proud brilliance is gone by the way side. now, i am left to redoing. here goes. this is not the way it was suppose to be, but then again, neither is my life.

joseph after his graduation from primavera online highschool in may of 2008. his class work was all completed online. this day marked the first and last time that he actually saw his classmates and teachers face to face. it was new to us all.

a proud moment afterward.......
just so you know, not all of my first post published properly....will work on this later.

went back in, changed a few things and got it to publish......

can't leave stuff alone, aiming for perfection.....so now, i am back to square one and missing important text.......

PostScript; the beginning at the end......

jumping into the water of blogging

where the brave
dare to go.......
i make it sound so dramatic.......
it is dramatic,
the second step
